On May 19, 2003, Nolan Winsett said that:
Fate & Emma lived near Bristol, Tennessee for a while after they were married. Later, after returning to Lincoln County for some time, they migrated to Texas circa 1910 with several of their children including Price, Ola Mae, Willie Robert, Vera, Bula, Mack & Nina (without husband Walter) who had five children of her own at the time. They lived on a farm near Decatur for several years. (Walter Winsett came shortly after arrival in Texas to retrieve Nina and their children, returning to Lincoln County, Tennessee)
Nolan, in 1936, visited Fate & Emma King who, during the depression, lived on Church Street in Fort Worth in a small house near their son, his uncle, William Robert King, who lived at 815 Isbell St. just off White Settlement drive in N.W. Fort Worth. He indentified their photo as being recent to the time he visited them. It was probably made on their farm near Decatur sometime before moving to Ft. Worth.
Nolan said he again visited his uncle Bill in 1939 and Emma was living with them at the time. Apparently Fate had died since 1936. He doesn't remember ever seeing them again.
Bill (William Robert) and his wife, Lilly Belle Taylor, had three children including: William R. King, Jr., George King and Marcie Jo King Wood. Marcie Jo served on the Miss Texas pageant for a number of years. Uncle Bill was a long-time member of the Fort Worth Police Force. Bill Jr. served in the U.S. Air Force and later had a career with Grumman Aircraft in Fort Worth, living next door to his parents on Isbell street (813 or 817 Isbell)
On May 24, 2003, according to Martie King, wife of the late William Robert King, Jr., when Clay & Shay visited her home after meeting her son David King who, with his wife Cheryl, still live in the home on Isbell St. that Willie Robert & Lillie Belle built ca. 1946: The street numbers have changed.....the former 815 Isbell is now 819 Isbell and the house to the south, 817 Isbell, is the home built for Bill Jr. when he married Martharie (Martie) in 1947.
Fate & Emma had formerly lived on a farm in the Decatur area and moved to a house on Church St. in North Fort Worth during the depression and lived there until Fate died on Dec. 19, 1939. Emma, soon after, moved into the home Willie Robert and Lillie Belle at 1315 Clinton St, and was still with them when they moved to the Isbell street house in the late 40's. Shortly before her death in 1950 she had been placed in a nursing home in Mansfield
